The Houses of Parliament calls Tina!
I was very excited to attend a debate at the House of Commons about ‘The Sisterhood’, earlier this month. Along with a diverse group of game-changing women, the goal was to define a collective vision for what constitutes a 21st Century sisterhood. The debate was filmed and will be used as part of a documentary about women in leadership - look out for more details about this soon.
The debate centred on the statistic that many women wish that there was a real and dependable sisterhood - one that inspires, supports and shares. Questions were asked and discussed: ‘So why isn’t there one? Why do women feel unsupported by other women? What are the real and lasting benefits for a sisterhood and how do we make this work for every woman?’
It was a very interesting discussion with many viewpoints!
The event was hosted by Shine UK Magazine and the Game Changers Women’s Leadership Network. SHINE UK magazine is all about the advancement of women and their careers.
