As an ex-Mathematics teacher it has always been a passion of mine to encourage the younger generation to reach their potential and aspire to great things. It was therefore with great pleasure that I sponsored the Entrepreneurs Academy Award at the Robert Clack School. This was where I was a pupil, a maths teacher and Deputy Head of 6th Form before going into business. Now, through the Robert Clack School Alumni Association I can encourage young people to think about business too. The standard of the entries to create a business idea would have be at home on Dragon’s Den! They considered everything from the roles of the team members, marketing, market research, finance, sales, costing and break even figures, SWOT analysis… they were tremendous! Congratulations to all the entrants and in particular Hotspot who were the overall winners! Business stars in the making ?.
